Julie Anne San Jose is presently one of the hardest workers in the entertainment industry today. She is a regular on the weekly drama series titled “Buena Famila,” is a fill-in news anchor on “24 Oras” and appears on Phillippine’s #1variety show “Sunday Pinasaya.”

“So essentially, I am on TV seven days a week, sometimes twice a day. But I don’t really mind, I love what I do!” stated Julie. “I’m also busy preparing for my 10th year anniversary concert. I’m so excited about that.”

As if Julie didn’t already have enough on her plate, she’s currently working on a brand new album.

“The album is set to be released later this year,” Julie said. “I am super excited for this project because it will showcase my growth as an artist and it will also serve as a thank you token for the people who support me and my music, as a way of giving back to them.”

Since breaking into the entertainment business almost ten years ago, she says it’s been nothing but a wonderful journey that’s allowed her to continue to grow as an artist. Her upcoming album, she said, will certainly reflect that.

“My first two albums were more country-sounding. I loved what I did, but I have always wanted to explore the pop and R&B genre. This next album will be similar sounding to my EP “Forever” which I recorded in New York last year and was produced by Sidney “Omen” Brown, a Grammy-winning producer who’s worked with such big-named artists like Drake, Ludacris and Lil’ Wayne. Tidal Wave which was the first track that was released off of the “Forever” EP, was nominated for Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video at the 2016 MYX Music Awards,” explained Julie.

When Julie makes music, she says her lyrics tend to revolve around her life experiences, love, pain and all the crazy emotions involved in relationships. When people listen to Julie’s music, she ultimately hopes they find it to be a breath of fresh air that inspires them.

“I really want them to like what they hear. I do what I do for them because it defines my passion for music,” explained Julie. “I want them to be able to relate to the songs, or just have fun with them, no matter what they are going through.”

In the next few years, Julie hopes to be an artist who continues to grow and evolves with the times. She also hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of Cher, Madonna and Mariah Carey by becoming a music icon—someone that people will remember for leaving a lasting mark in the world.

“In all, I'm just grateful for the blessings and the opportunity to reach out to people,” stated Julie.
