KS Tha Kid "Move That Work" prod by Young Bunk

KS Tha Kid is back after a 3year hiatus with his brand new “Move That Work” produced by Young Bunk. Honestly, going into this I was expecting another trap record that just made me wish it would hurry up and end, boy was I wrong. Soon as I pressed play a feeling of nostalgia hit and I started bopping my head. Next thing I know, I was twerking in my living room, looking around making sure nobody caught me. See, “Move That Work” takes us back to the year 2000 with a sample of “Whistle While You Twerk” by the Ying Yang Twins an o what a time to be clubbing that was. What impressed me though was that KS Tha Kid is not overshadowed by such an iconic sample, he held it down lyrically and with delivery, that although I had that “this reminds me of” feeling, it was still new school enough to have automatically get added to my Gym and Rap Spotify playlists…don’t just take my word for it though, Check it out for yourself and make sure to support. I just hope KS Tha Kid does not make us wait another 3 years because the Kid is a new favorite of mine.

Vito (@DNE_Vito) Takes a Stand with New Video Repentance

After T.I. blasted Wayne for talking down on Black Lives Matter, I’m sure a lot of entertainers are choosing their words wisely on the subject. Some have voiced their opinion but none have taken a stand as radical as T.I. by making an entire song and video about the topic, until now. It may seem like a risky move for a rising independent artist, but it's refreshing to see an artist take a stand creatively. Repentance, produced by Mike D and shot by CEO Peso, is a call to action we haven’t seen since the days of Tupac. “Let the guns do the talking cuz we don’t have a voice!” he says in the hook. But the real jewels are in the verses. Vito flaunts his true lyricism on this track and really makes you listen to what he’s saying. This isn’t just another trap beat with broken lyrics. This song is the anthem for all those who are upset with the United States and ready to do something about it. Maybe Vito will make other artists come out of the dark and express how they truly feel.

[News] Blakk Katt (@Blakk_Katt) in studio interview w/ @MissAtown2U

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with a brand new artist @Blakk_Katt out of Alabama, Patchwerk Recording Studios Atlanta Ga. His sound is country, authentic, raw, & definitely makes you feel it. I can honestly say he reminds me of the 2003 Young Jeezy, a lil bit of Scarface & more! His personality really pops with a very outspoken sense of humor. I was able to ask a few questions while we picked out songs for his New Mixtape called "Bad Luck, Good Fortunes"
Miss Atown: When did u decide to rap?

Blakk Katt: I decided to rap when I was 15 years old just fucking around with my brothers and homies..
Miss Atown: Would you say the streets are your motivation? Or what exactly motivates you?

Blakk Katt: The struggle motivated me and a whole lotta $$$ motivates me...
Miss Atown: Alotta artist use "The Struggle" as their motivation but never really struggled. Have you ever been poor?

Blakk Katt: Yes I've been poor before..My mother was a single parent of 5 kids with no help. We been on food stamps and government assistant, but with my mom being a strong woman we really made the best out of the worst situations...
Miss Atown: Why me? What made you reach out to lil ol me?

Blakk Katt: I've heard you can provide services such as real street promotion/ web visibility/ and branding ...
Miss Atown: How were you able to connect with me THE CONNECT?
Blakk Katt: I got to you by Dj Funky @DjFunkyATL(Coalition Dj's) and Jaycee @hisear4muzik (My manager)...
Miss Atown: You are in Atlanta, the music capitol. Is there anyone in particular you want to work with?

Blakk Katt:I want to work with anyone who wants to work with me...
Miss Atown: What would you say is your ultimate long term goal?

Blakk Katt: My goal is To be a successful label/artist/movement... The takeover is underway as we speak...

[Single] Blakk Katt (@Blakk_Katt) ft Que (@WhoIsQue) - I Can Tell (Neva Eva)

style="text-align: center;">Blakk Katt (@Blakk_Katt) ft Que (@WhoIsQue) - I Can Tell (Neva Eva)

Blakk Katt was born in Frankfurt Germany, on June 14, 1987. His father was in the army and mother a housewife, so his family moved in and out of the country. His parents divorced in 1993 in which his father took Blakk Katt and his brothers to live with him in Panama, Germany and kept them there until 1995. His parents divorce was the beginning of many difficult times. For almost 2 years, Blakk Katt didn’t get to see his mother, which was very hard on him. His mother was able to get them back in 1995 and they moved to Munford, AL close to her hometown Talladega, AL. With Blakk Katt’s Mother being a single parent raising 5 children, they experienced a lot of hard times.

Blakk Katt always had a love for music so at the age of 15 he started rapping to clear his mind and escape his surroundings. At the time his name was Black Cat and he rapped with a friend called Firecracker, it didn’t last long. In the same year, he changed the spelling of his name to Blakk Katt, he and two other friends started the rap group called Bad Influence. Performing and lasting for nearly 2 years, Bad Influence almost had an opportunity to get signed. But being in a group setting wasn’t working out for the best, and especially for Blakk Katt. So at 17 he decided to go solo but was still more interested in hustling than music at the time. He still performed and recorded, releasing his first mixtape Trap Talk in 2009 and the single Mama’s House in 2011, with various songs in between.
